BENCO Equipment, a division of Hedahls, Inc., is searching for its next star! BENCO Equipment is headquartered in Bismarck, ND where the economy is booming and unemployment is among the lowest in the country.

We are currently hiring a Manager to run our BENCO Equipment division in Bismarck, ND with 2 branch locations – Fargo, ND and Hopkins, MN.

The BENCO Manager is responsible for the general operation and success of BENCO Equipment through careful analysis of spending and sales revenue, supervising staff, generating sales, inventory monitoring, problem solving, and customer relations.

Some of the BENCO Manager’s duties include:

Reviews and analyzes all computer reports, including sales reports, expense reports, inventory reports, payroll reports, and the operating statement. Uses that information to improve company's operation.
Promotes goodwill with the customers, handling customer complaints and inquiries promptly and fairly.
Keeps all computer information up-to-date and accurate, including data relating to customers, pricing and inventory.
Works with the factories, suppliers, and factory representatives, fostering good working relationships and learning of changes and innovation in merchandise and to establish appropriate inventory levels.
Maintains the facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds, making sure that all are clean, safe, and adequate for operations.
Approves bills and spends expense account prudently and moderately, keeping accurate records and receipts.
Prepares bids and/or approves them.
Collects accounts when necessary.
Supervises full time and part time employees. Supervision includes organizing, coordinating, delegating, monitoring and directing the work of staff.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of equipment, such as alignments, balancers, hoists and fluid handling systems. Knowledge of vehicle dealerships and repair shops is also required.
Technical or special training in business or management is preferred.
3-5 years of previous management experience is required.
3-5 years of sales experience is required.
1-2 years of directly related work experience is required.
Requires high level of interpersonal skill.
Must be a self-starter and work well independently, as well as with others.
Requires ability to communicate effectively with staff, salespeople, factory representatives, and customers. Approximately 30% of the day includes speaking with salespeople, 40% with customers, 25% with employees, and 5% with factory people. Must have good phone etiquette.
Knowledge of PC and various software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, is required. Ability to use the Internet and Email is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Lifting of up to 100 pounds may be required.
Travel of up to 50% may be required within ND, MN, MT and SD with some travel to other area of the USA for meetings, seminars and training.
